Preferred term

data accessibility

Definition

  • FAIR principle encouraging to permanently stock data and metadata and simplify their access and/or download, by specifying access conditions (restricted or open access) and usage conditions (licence). A concrete way to address this principle is storing data in a deposit/warehouse ensuring their long term storage and making them accessible through a open protocol (e.g. HTTP) both by humans and machines.
